Bisphenol AF
NO. Bisphenol AF
Bisphenol AF is also known as hexafluorobisphenol A or hexafluoroisopropyl diphenol, abbreviated as BPAF. It is an important fluorine-containing cross-linking agent, which can make rubber products to have good resistance to compression deformation, chemical corrosion and thermal stability.Furthermore, bisphenol AF is also an important monomer for the synthesis of fluoropolymers such as fluorine-containing polyimides.

Technical index
Application
Bisphenol AF is mainly used as a fluororubber vulcanizing agent (crosslinking agent). More than 70% of fluororubber is vulcanized by bisphenol AF. Bisphenol AF was often used as a monomer for the synthesis of fluoropolymers such as fluorine-containing polyimides. These polymers show excellent physical, chemical and mechanical properties. Hence, they were used in the fields of gas separation membranes, proton exchange membranes, dielectric coatings, light sheaths, microelectronics, fuel cells, optics and space technology, etc.
